Gala was a charismatic, enigmatic and strongly seductive woman who captivated Dalí from the moment he met her. She became his muse and model, appearing in many of his works of art, in which Dalí portrayed her in a dreamlike and mysterious way. Gala was also a major influence on the evolution of Dalí's artistic style, encouraging him to explore surrealism and the psychology of the subconscious.
